Fun story about the kid eating cereal at about 4:00. When I used to be a Mormon, the director of these commercials, also a mormon, came and spoke at the missionary training center when I was "enrolled" there. He told us how he got such good acting out of the boy who was having difficulty producing a believable pout. He left the camera rolling after a cut and then verbally abused him, telling him that he was a waste of time and couldn't do anything right, etc...

I looked around at the other missionaries there hoping that they would have the same reaction of disgust that I did. Nope, they thought this hypocritical bullshit was the most clever thing they had ever heard.

Also, the one at 6:35 with the two kids fighting...actually, the story behind this one actually is kind of clever and funny :P

They had the kids bring in their favorite toy. the girl, a doll. The boy a hot-wheels car. Then they took the girl out of the room while they took the head off the doll and put the boy's car in it...with the boy watching. head goes on doll, girl enters room and is given her doll back, camera rolls, hilarity ensues, mormon family values get propagated!

just a bit creepy in places. "Say, that's a nice boat. You sure are good with your hands."

Remember, the key to good parenting is to give in to your brat's every demand as soon as possible. Also, try not to put out so many psychic 'argument' vibes.

I've always been very suspicious of anything that releases commercials like this one.
