The more Ron Paul talks about Somalia, the more I think of the newsletter racism scandal that followed him this election cycle.

dichotic1 - 2009-04-16

I found it more entertaining to pause the video and use the cursor to make his head bobble around

Jefka - 2009-04-16

Bulb

kingofthenothing - 2009-04-16

Yeah, you're onto something there. Kind of reminds me of Max Headroom.

Xenocide - 2009-04-16

Who will answer Cap'n Paul's noble call? The finest silks and spices shall be yours!

Randroid - 2009-04-17

i'd like to but a flock of octaroons stole my ironclad

OgreMkIV - 2009-04-17

Ne'er bother, my dear fellow. We can use my dirigible. It is armed with the finest Venetian scalding pots and crewed by only the most stout Frisian roustabouts.

Cena_mark - 2009-04-16

The pirates know our ships are unarmed and it emboldens them. Let our ships carry small arms and it'll make all the difference in preventing attacks.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-04-16

Good thing nobody gives a fuck about or listens to Ron Paul who is in any sort of position to actually make this happen.

Cena_mark - 2009-04-16

Are you Liberals just anti common sense? Whenever a state or city makes conceal carry permits easier to attain, you bitch and moan that the place will become like "the old west." The streets will descend into anarchy and we'll all be fucked. But in reality the lax gun laws result in less crime and no such "wild west" incidents ever happen.
The waters off Somalia are already dangerous. We've already tried not army our merchant ships, now lets try arming them. All the sailors on that ship will need to do is fire some rounds at approaching pirates and I guarantee they'll just turn tail.

SDAusmus - 2009-04-16

The companies that own these ships don't arm their vessels even though they already have the right to do so. Don't you think they might have already looked into the possibility and dismissed it as unfeasible?

Cena_mark - 2009-04-16

How is it unfeasible? Just take a ship, add on a few soldiers of fortune, and you're ready to sail around the horn of Africa.

baleen - 2009-04-16

Ron Paul isn't even a real libertarian.

Camonk - 2009-04-17

Check it out, cena mark, even RON PAUL is too intelligent and sane to be a libertarian.

RON PAUL is too smart to be libertarian. That should tell you idiots something.

All them books back there are about how good poor people taste as food.

cognitivedissonance - 2009-04-17

I love Cena_Mark. I want to give him a big sweaty man-kiss.

Pillager - 2009-04-16

Am I the only one imagining Dog the Bounty Hunter becoming a privateer?

Helena Handbasket - 2009-04-16

Well not anymore.

Smellvin - 2009-04-16

Probably. They'd be hiring mostly be ex-Army SF.

Smellvin - 2009-04-16

Also, if you take my ten hour course on "How to Type like Chris-chan speaks" you, too, can be semi-incomprehensible like me by placing random words in the middle nipples of your sentences.

Grace Mugabe - 2009-04-17

Allowing cargo vessels to arm themselves would deter rational attackers, but since when have Africans ever been rational? Sorry Paul, but we're going to have to blow some taxpayer dollars on this one.
