Oh crap, her pictures have been targeted by discussion! I wonder if the guy in white-face behind her is worried he might be targeted too?

Too late! I'm targeting you right now, whitey!

RomancingTrain - 2009-11-11

America's team? How arrogant can you get.
It's nice that Texas's lone gay guy could take time out of his busy schedule to talk to them.

PegLegPete - 2009-11-11

Reaction was both mixed and varied? Give me a break, I fucking hate the news.

phalsebob - 2009-11-11

Well, there was an assortment of diversities, but mostly people didn't give a shit.

chumbucket - 2009-11-11

there were differing opinions but we all have to admit, there is drama here

5 stars for "it's hallowane"

Do you get to go in blackface on Halloween if you're dressed as Al Jolson?

simon666 - 2009-11-11

Technically I don't think this is a case of the "blackface" of racism, that the term is usually associated with. It's blackface in the sense a white person put on makeup to appear black, but not in the sense the woman was portraying, as wiki quotes, "'happy-go-lucky darky on the plantation' or the 'dandified coon'."

And also what endlesschris says.

I remember Prince Harry went as a Nazi to a "Wear an offensive costume" type party and the Jewish defamation league was up in arms. Halloween and other costumed events are a chance to dress as stupid characitures of various people and characters. I can see if she had went as "Darkie O'Chickensnatcher" and walked around the party with 40s taped to her hands and a bucket of fried chicken on her back - but here it's just a white girl dressed like a stupid pop culture icon.

Let it go.

fatatty - 2009-11-11

If your daughter's role model is a glorified exotic dancer you have more problems than what her potential offensive Halloween costumes are.

Chizmurder - 2009-11-11

I can't wait for next Hallowane when all the little girls dress up like black rappers. It's gonna be wild.

Also, 99.9999% of the world wouldn't have even known she did this if they didn't do NEWS REPORTS on it. So if all your daughters grow up to be black rappers, blame the news.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-11-11

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be rappers

Don't let let 'em spin records or drive Cadillacs,
Let 'em be ministers or something like that.

citrusmirakel - 2009-11-11

Okay Dallas, let's me and you have a talk.

First of all, this whole "America's Team" thing has to stop. It's weird and obnoxious, and you haven't seen the inside of a Super Bowl since 1993.

Secondly, most other states recognize professional cheerleaders for what they are: Ladies who wear little clothing and dance around a lot to distract people from the obscene amount of commercial breaks during games. Lauding them as role models might be why you have the highest amount of strip clubs per capita than anywhere else in the States.

Also, I haven't said this in a while, but good job not being Houston. I know it's tempting sometimes.

Senator_Unger - 2009-11-11

A cheerleader making a poor decision? ZOUNDS! To the News Van!

Fuck your suck hole.

Enjoy - 2009-11-11

The reporter was OUTRAGED.

spencer - 2009-11-11

Are the 5-star ratings really merited here? This is just too dull... and not even in a "banality of evil" sorta way.

bluiker - 2009-11-17

"Little Wayne" is worth four. But yeah, not really five-star material.

moral sex - 2009-11-12

I looked at this with the sound off and without reading the description and just thought people were getting outraged over some chick spending too long in the tannery.

The New Meat - 2014-09-04

I'm pretty sure this isn't an actual news report, but just a shitty college comedy troupe trying to ape the Daily Show. The "reporter" is clearly a kid with talcum powder in his hair and the sound quality is awful. Even the shittiest local news channel knows that you have a dramatic swell of music to introduce the newscast with a quick fade-out instead of just playing elevator muzak at a constant level in the background for the whole report.
