The Mothership - 2009-12-15
"Housework will be left undone because Christian maids have been promoted to higher realms."
That gets one star, but the rest are for 2:57-3:00.

I'll give this film credit, it doesn't have the same feel of barely concealed gloating over the unbelievers having to go through wars, plagues, etc. that most modern rapture vids have. And it actually tries to make Christians feel guilty about everyone else left behind. And amazingly, no predictions about the New World Order.
Even so, I'd love to see this as a MST3K short.

You really can't get that angry with people who lived in 1941, back then living beyond 35 was already something to brag about

Couldn't Jesus even wait till that surgery was over. Jesus Christ, Jesus.

It doesn't spend much time on the tribulation but it is the same disappearance porn as modern ones. I was surprised to find that the "planes with no pilots" thing goes back this far. And guilt tripping people to hand out more tracts is a nice touch too. Baptista, you sly devil.
If anyone happens to be into old projector history (and who isn't), these guys invented a unique sprocket-based "Miracle Projector," among other things, and sold hundreds to churches all over the place.

Huh. I thought little kids were supposed to be sucked up into heaven no matter what.
