Is this more fun than ROTT? What is poe's verdict?

OxygenThief - 2009-12-22

My vote is for more fun.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-22

Thanks. I will probably try it once I get my Pandora (yes I did order a boutique linux-based game console and NO that does not make me a huge nerd).

Embee - 2009-12-22

AAAHHH SOOO!!!

I have such cherished memories of this game. Thanks Jack.

Embee - 2009-12-22

For Japanese clichés as perceived by American game designers.

pineapplejuicer - 2009-12-22

oh sweet mid 90's racism. so misguided and unknowing, thee.

Toenails - 2009-12-22

SMELLS LIKE OLD BABOON!!

StanleyPain - 2009-12-22

This was specifically made as a parody of Duke Nukem.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-22

Most Build games were direct ripoffs of Duke Nuke'em. And don't forget Redneck Rampage.

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-22

No, do forget Redneck Rampage.

memedumpster - 2009-12-22

Ammo vending.

Meerkat - 2009-12-22

I remember I didn't order the full version because I had no money.

ztc - 2009-12-22

I reinstalled this today and it's fucking uncontrollable.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-22

It's been ported to be Windows compatible. Google around for it.

Syd Midnight - 2009-12-22

It needs the "freelook" or "mouselook" option to be controllable

pastorofmuppets - 2009-12-22

It's funny playing the old games like Doom with a mouse. Having good controls is like a cheat code the creators never envisioned.

Rape Ape - 2009-12-23

I wouldn't say they didn't intend mouselook -- mouselook was pretty much popularized by Doom. I still think that keyboard was a superior control scheme for that game with the right bindings, though. . . .typing that last sentence severely damaged my self-image.

Desidiosus - 2009-12-22

5 stars though I always preferred Blood.

fluffy - 2009-12-22

Once upon a time, they didn't care about perfection, they just wanted to make games.

La Loco - 2009-12-22

This is a list of my shareware obsessions in chronological order:

Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Heretic, ROTT, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Quake.

That's where it ends.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-12-22

-4 stars for offensiveness.

Cleaner82 - 2009-12-23

Annoyingly, a really good game.

BaconAficionado - 2009-12-29

You want to wash wang, or you want to watch wang wash wang?

FABIO - 2011-03-18

The Build engine games always had this neat little charm to them, kind of like the mid 90s version of Little Big Planet trying to realistically create a shooter.
