Well, uh... Dangerfield was an avid supporter of Kinison, thus him being in this movie. And really, this was probably the funniest moment in this otherwise "Hey, let's take the character from Caddyshack and put him in an 80's teen movie".
The bit with Kurt Vonnegut was pretty good too.
