Could someone please ruin the last trick for me? How the hell?
Ok I think I've got it, but I don't want to ruin it. If you can find out how Blaine does similar tricks, it becomes obvious how they must be doing this one.
Bad choice of words. I don't mean they edited it, I mean that, at the very least, the host can see what's going on. This trick is better done for a videotape or a large crowd than someone in the room.
Mostly there but... the guy hunched over the table with one hand out of view is not just there to hold the cup.
It's still pretty great.
As far as the earlier tricks go: he clearly has a trick coin that folds/opens to look like two stacked coins. For example for the one where three coins on top of the glass suddenly turn into two on top and one in his hand underneath: as he's setting it up you can see (especially at 1080p) two of the coins always moving exactly together even when he only touches one of them. Presumably when he slams his hand under the table with the 3rd coin it causes the fake coin to automatically fold up. Once you assume has the folding double-coin and magnetic ring most of the earlier tricks are pretty easy to follow.
For the table: I'm guessing the moving surface section is spring-loaded to go back to its original position. This would explain why he has to slide his hand to drag the hole into position at the start of the trick, but doesn't have to drag it close again. Instead he kind of wiggles his hand as if controlling the amount of friction so that it doesn't close too quickly.
You can also see the hostess's hand move along with the table at one point. I'm not sure if she was pushing it or she just happened to have it resting on the glass when he was moving the layer with the hole.

You may as well go ahead and click the video and watch it on YouTube in HD, that way when you exclaim "the fuck!?" you know what you just saw was in the highest amount of detail available.

Crappy Chinese tables are so poorly made that you can put coins and your hand right through them.

I guess it suck to be the people who had to sit behind him the whole show.

A very apt metaphor for the American/Chinese symbiotic economies.

Lei Qiang does some kick-ass Erhu music.
I wonder if they're related.
