Needs a political thanatos tag

Not defending them, but ... they started clapping before he called them Tim McVeigh wannabes. I think they just thought it was a a shout-out. I think maybe it was supposed to be, and that he thought he was using that name ironically, but who the fuck knows with that guy.

what the fuck
i half thought based on the title this was going to blow my mind by hannity stating how the teaparty are fringe lunatics and possible domestic terrorists, possibly by being a chris morris edit.

I feel rather foolish having been here at PoetV for years, yet never noticed the 'beyond parody' tag. An old pro like IW knows all the tricks.

He's pretty clearly being sarcastic. There's nothing noteworthy about this, it's just Sean Hannity doing his thing.

I don't think they caught that reference.
Now if he'd been on the air, speaking in disparaging tones about teabaggers being "those Tim McVeigh wannabes," they'd have been swarming the station and demanding a blood sacrifice.
That's still pretty fucked up.

Not that I ever agree with Hannity, but he was speaking sarcastically here. He was using the term to demonstrate how he feels democrats view the Tea Party. Of course, the Tea Party IS just a bunch of Timothy McVeigh wannabes, but...

He was clearly being sarcastic.
But five anyway for the obvious and pathetic attempt at trying to spin the right's ass-whipping on health care as a "CONSERVATIVE VICTORY."
"I think we won the debate." No, see, if you'd won the debate, then health care wouldn't have passed. Spending a year and untold millions of dollars in an unsuccessful attempt at squashing a bill? That's the opposite of winning, Sean.

killing little children

raping their daughters
to teach them the koran

He's being sarcastic-- that's his commentary on how liberals view the tea party. To be fair, that's probably how a lot of us view the Tea Party.

I'd have gone with Unabomber wannabes.

Here's a little piece of advice to all you teabagger types out there.
When someone can easily make a comparison, sarcastic or not, between you and a domestic terrorist who killed nearly 200 people, 19 of whom were small children, you may want to possibly rethink the people you hang around with. Just a little.
