I totally watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. I don't really know what to comment on because I'm not like a scientist or anything, but I'd say the guy in black won. I want to believe Chris Elliott's dad, but I'm thinking that desire might just be misguided optimism. There are probably aliens out there, but just so far away that even with hyper-advanced technology contact is impossible. I still think we need meganerds like these two studying this shit and searching for intelligent life in the galaxy because why not? Even an infinitesimal chance is worth pursuing.
