fluffy - 2010-07-12 La Loco doesn't speak LOLcat, he just parrots a couple of specific sayings, because making references to other things is the only way he knows how to be funny.

|
gmol - 2010-07-11 they don't have sweet taste receptors, apparently

|
Triggerbaby - 2010-07-12 They (SCIENCE) did a study and determined that cats actually can taste sweet things. However, unlike humans and dogs, they just don't really care.

Oktay - 2010-07-14 Scientific American disagrees:

Oktay - 2010-07-14 argh... there should not be a space between "t" and "rue". I don't know how it happened.

Cat that is not what you are supposed to eat! Stop eating that! Go be a predator!

dead_cat - 2010-07-12 My cat sometimes insists on mauling a marshmallow or two. She loses interest in them when they become sticky and gross, otherwise I think she'd actually eat them.

Babies Ate My Dingo - 2010-07-11
It's got to be an orange cat thing. We had an orange fellow who loved watermelon and corn on the cob. He'd also go out of his way to have sordid encounters with anything purple; if it was purple and fuzzy, you could pretty much just burn it now because there was no turning aside his attentions from it.
He was still a dirty old man at 16 when he ran out of cat-juice.

|
|
oddeye - 2010-07-12 Maybe the gene responsible for their orange coat is somehow linked to their liking of watermelon.
|
spikestoyiu - 2010-07-12 Orange cats also love Calicos with big, fat cat-asses.

I had a kitty who would go for the green beans on your plate before the chicken.
He liked chicken, but if he only had a moment before you came back to the dinner table, the green beans took priority.

Deep racial memories and instincts are stirred up in the cat, from the days millenia ago when it's ancestors regularly preyed upon the wild, free-roaming watermelon.

You mean this isn't what cats normally eat?

My toddler's first Youtube favorite. I showed him this before dinner and now he's in bed an hour later, muttering to himself about "cat eats wahmennon."

Every cat I have ever owned has had a sweet tooth. So this video comes as no surprise to me. However, it is still cute though.

I'm posting this comment years after the video's original date, but this is exactly what I needed this morning. Thanks PoeTV.
