why did this movie have to be remade, again?

Apparently to tell the computer all this stuff, he just has to hit the same two buttons over and over again in the same sequence.

I'm calling Fraud.

When I first saw this film as a toddler, I loved how weird and delightful it all was but completely missed all these moments. Now, watching it as an adult, it's these that really keep this in my Top 10.

Prisoner's Dilemma was never so sweet.

The investors were staggered that he managed to create, not a probability machine, but a sentient AI capable of understanding morality and disobeying orders. Their joy at the breakthough quickly turned to terror at Skynet took drastic actions to preserve the secret of the tickets.

This movie sucked. So did the book. How in the hell, out of all the people in the world searching for the golden ticket, did not one bachelor get in that goddamn factory?
