I don't have a Facebook, nor do I own a television, so I am either uber-hip or an uber-douche. I'm guessing the latter!

I hate to admit it, but facebook is actually pretty useful. I have a friend in the peace corps in the Ukraine, and facebook and email are easily the most cost effective way to keep in touch with him, and browsing his gallery of photos from the Ukraine and commenting on them with his other friends and family is a lot nicer than him mailing me bundles of photos and me replying back with individual comments about each one.

That said, I think all this 'like' bullshit is dumb and every single one of those farmvilles and frontier worlds can go fuck themselves. I block that shit just to keep from having to hear people's constant requests.

I don't own a television or have a facebook because I think both things are a poor use of technology, but I'm happy that you enjoy these things.

I had a face book with like 2 friends. Basically I don't have one anymore because no one likes me.

I signed up to friend this one guy I work with because he had no other friends and then people from high school that I was trying to forget about started trying to friend me and I had to make it so nobody could see me but the guy with no friends.

Facebook is definitely a more efficient means of stalking people. This movie still looks like it will suck. Just saying.

I have Facebook but barely ever log in because it's so much work to keep up with, and then people make important announcements on it which I don't hear about until like two months later because they "already told me" on Facebook. Also I don't like how Facebook tries to stalk all my online activity and automatically connect to every single fucking site that I go to.

I also hate how Facebook has become the de-facto "walled garden" that everyone wants to use to communicate with each other. Perfectly good web communities are being gutted because people have decided they'd rather it be a facebook group. It feels like Facebook has all the makings of a cult dynamic that cause people to become recruiters for it, and it has an insidious and toxic viral effect on the rest of the Internet.

From the trailers this movie looks like it might actually go into pretty good detail about all the shady bullshit that Facebook does and I hope that it causes more people to think twice about moving all their online activity to it.

I have a facebook and use it a lot, but here in Korea it's the defacto means of communication between foreigners in this country. I rarely used it before coming here and I doubt I'll use it to the same extent once I leave.

I use facebook as a way to keep up with my friends, and I'm on it at least once a day. It's efficient, it's great for event planning, and very easy to use.

That said, yes it's very popular at the moment, but so was Myspace once. So was Xanga and Livejournal. And who doesn't remember when 95% of people using the internet were using AOL?

if you've ever have travelled or moved it is a great way to keep in touch with people, it's also a great way of keeping track of birthdays and parties and frankly, if you block all the shitty app-spam I can't see a single bad thing about it.

If you've never read The Accidental Billionaires then that is what this movie is going to be like; it's not about the founding of Facebook so much as it is about a gigantic douche who teams up with an even bigger douche to become filthy rich by stepping on everybody who's ever helped him get to where he was.

I hope one day facebook is used to round people up and put them in camps, that way I can stand far back, point, and laugh, at all its users as they are marched to trains.

I use Facebook to take care of virtual cows and to sustain an avenue of guilt I didn't have before, via ignoring friend requests from people I don't want to know outside of high school/work.

Uh, Jesse Eisenberg isn't "the poor man's Michael Cera." It's vice versa. Eisenberg is easily more talented, has a broader range and has chosen better projects to work on than Cera.

I was late to the Arrested Development party. It was funny, but it was still hard to get into because I kept imagining a typical Arrested Development fan leaning over my shoulder telling me how the world is too stupid to enjoy it and how I should go see every movie with Michael Cera no matter how fucking awful it is.

yeah he should go back to making overly-quotable movies based on crappy underground novels and ridiculously-plotted things about paranoid introverts with too much money

Fight Club the movie was amazing considering how shitty the source material was, so props for that.

Se7en was pretty good I guess.
