If I had the skill I'd add oversized eyes and a bulbous anime sweat drop, but I guess we can't have everything

snppls - 2010-09-16

Is that the guy from Dancer in the Dark?

baleen - 2010-09-16

It's the nihilist from Big Lebowski and the psychopath from Fargo, dude.

Potrod - 2010-09-16

Don't forget Slippery Pete on Seinfeld.

chumbucket - 2010-09-16

5 thumbs up

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-09-16

ok

StanleyPain - 2010-09-16

Always 5 for Peter Stormare.

Binro the Heretic - 2010-09-16

Why do so many people I respect agree to appear on this shitty, shitty show?

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2010-09-16

Maybe the fault isn't with them

Binro the Heretic - 2010-09-16

No.

It is a terrible, terrible show.

When I ask people why they like it, half of them say it's better when you're drunk and/or stoned which doesn't count because EVERYTHING is funny when you're drunk and/or stoned, ESPECIALLY when you're stoned.

The other half say they enjoy the thought of other people hating it. In other words, they don't think it's very good either, but it's worth watching it so they can imagine other people disliking it.

Fuck Tim & Eric.

Jellyneck - 2010-09-16

Yeah, but you live in Florida, so I think most people you're talking to are probably terrible.

I like Tim and Eric because it makes me laugh. If you're going to make me explain why something makes me laugh I'll just look at you funny.

StanleyPain - 2010-09-16

Yes, there's only two kinds of T&E fans: ones who say it's better drunk and ones who say they watch it to piss off the people who hate it.

What?

I watch Tim and Eric because I find it humorous and ridiculous. I liked Tom Goes To The Mayor more because I liked how they tried to create actual little stories and recurring characters in a continuous setting, but T&E is just goofy fun. I don't understand why it has such desperately enraged anti-fans. Go fucking watch a show that satisfies your humor and shut the fuck up about T&E already.

Samisyosam - 2010-09-17

It enrages people because, despite starting out with what should have been an extremely funny concept, they drive the joke into the ground so badly that by the end you feel kinda guilty for having liked it in the first place. The last 3rd of any Tim & Eric bit can be written off as kaufmanistic anti-comedy.

It starts funny, then it becomes not funny and, because they intentionally make it not funny, that means they're being ironic. Once the irony kicks in, you can use that irony to justify allowing yourself to laugh at something that had the nerve to do anything legitimately funny in the first place. Then you can don some pastel-colored sunglasses and scene your way off into the sunset like the little hipster you are.

Anaxagoras - 2010-09-17

T&E has nothing to do with irony, you dipshit. Their skits tend to contain a certain sad joy at the subjects they portray in such a weird, weird light. Few, if any, of the sketches are laughing at people. They're not really laughing with them, either. They're just... laughing.

I'm sorry that you can't understand this. And that you won't even try.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2010-09-16

I honestly enjoy this. It makes me laugh, and without alcohol. Is that so damned hard to believe? I realize they don't do gut-slapping Star Wars parodies, but there are other forms of humor out there.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-09-16

so why can't the creators use any of them

ShiftlessRastus - 2010-09-16

I'm going to play a loop of the soundtrack out my window on Halloween.

duck&cover - 2010-09-17

What a smooth smoothy that guy is.
