Yes I did! How exactly does it violate my pro-Israeli stance?
I mean, other than the massacre of Palestinians which is awful, but which other nations of the Middle East seem to enjoy doing to a much greater extent, particularly Kuwait and Jordan and Syria and Lebanon, I don't see how "Syria uses Palestinians as a means to elevate its own Baathist agenda" is really a violation of any of my pro-Israeli principles.

The last two paragraphs of the article you cite (in case you didnt get that far) If you want I can explain how they contradict your pro-israeli state position :

I would be all for that, but it's hard when you're a secular democracy to institute any kind of change when you're fighting against rightwing hardliners on the inside and oil-subsidized rightwing nationalist states on the outside that manipulate Palestine to make people on this side of the ocean react in certain ways.

I'm all for overcoming the legacy of "Zionist oppression" and the oppression that the building of nations, Zionist or otherwise, has created.

Secular democracy? How do you define secular and how do you define democracy?
