John Holmes Motherfucker - 2010-10-15 I'm watching the DVD (and I LOVE this movie by the way) and I see the guy go into the exhaust and I think "Say, was he wearing a red suit? Cause that would be awesome! So I back it up and, hell yeah, he's not only wearing a red suit, he's got a red parachute, and even his telemetry on Chekov's graphic display is color-coded red. Poor bastard never had a chance.
For anybody who doesn't get the reference to Classic Trek, a google of "star trek redshirts" ought to reveal all.

Needs a "missed opportunity" tag. That guy had every reason to explode in a car going off a bridge into a river fashion.

This was my favorite part of the movie...
I think I was the only person in the theater that got the gag though...Nobody else was laughing when he burned.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2010-10-15 Well, I'm sure many were like me. They got it, but not right away. I had to back up the DVD.

fatatty - 2010-10-15 Maybe they didn't laugh because a man just died. Show some respect.

garcet71283 - 2010-10-16 fatatty...are you sure you are on the right site?

This guy was obviously supposed to be the Teabagger friendly character, as he embodies all their core values.

It should be noted that Riker wore a red shirt and also enjoyed kicking Romulan (and Reman) ass. Further proof that Riker is the best character in the series.
