I have this thing where I really feel I have to really dismiss people offhand when they use "really" multiple times in one really annoying sentence.

It really annoys me more than the geocentrism. Really.

StanleyPain - 2010-11-01

I think I'm more put off by people who use the term "empirical" to sound clever when making arguments about something that can never be "empirically" proven anyway.

Senator_Unger - 2010-11-01

"When I was getting my PhD in Philosophy." Well, there's your problem right there.

poorwill - 2010-11-01

On the contrary, he should go back and do it over.

Riskbreaker - 2010-11-01

Dat intro music.

Riskbreaker - 2010-11-01

Also: "make up your mind on your own, but it's clear i'm right about all this stuff"

Adramelech - 2010-11-01

This guy has his own radio show and over 1,300 YouTube videos. His channel is a goldmine of potential submissions.

Make sure you catch the 10-part "Mosquitos are Illuminati torture creations" series.

I don't get these science 'skeptic' jaggoffs who think climate change, evolution and now apparently the solar system is a conspiracy. Science by it's very nature is skeptical. You come up with a hypothesis, and then other scientists are obligated to try and destroy it. If the hypothesis cannot be destroyed, it becomes a theory. In the 'theory' phase, this idea can still be destroyed by one simple contradiction, and no matter how much evidence you get to support your idea, it will always be just a theory. Science IS skepticism.

oddeye - 2010-11-01

The thing that gets me is that if a scientist was able to rewrite most of what we know about some large topic (for example evolution) they would win all sorts of prizes and fame.

Why exactly would they sit on a goldmine like that?

Innocent Bystander - 2010-11-01

What I find interesting is that most people would have real trouble explaining any laws of aerodynamics, yet flying on a plane poses no problem to most. But if we start talking astrophysics or evolution, suddenly everyone's an expert (especially on the subject of how they're wrong and inaccurate).

pastorofmuppets - 2010-11-01

DFT: and only if that contradiction can't be adequately explained by an auxiliary hypothesis. if most of the evidence points one way, you have to do better than to find a couple of exceptions.

IB: Parkinson's Law of Triviality comes to mind...

MrBuddy - 2010-11-01

It's not like you have to take the word of a scientist, you can pay to fly in a plane up high enough to see the outer atmosphere or just stick a camera on a weather balloon like this father and son did:

cognitivedissonance - 2010-11-01

Continental drift is an Illuminati master stroke.

Oktay - 2010-11-01

This guy probably used to get beat up at school, by both jocks and nerds. Especially nerds.

facek - 2010-11-01

No evidence the Moon goes around Earth!? 1/2 The rise or Lunarcentrism?

Kieran27 - 2010-11-01

I love how he thinks he's being skeptical and scientific in his analysis, but he makes a very common mistake people like this often overlook: Burden of proof. Despite what he says in the video, everyone else is NOT wrong until proven otherwise. You're the one with the new and different claim, you have to come up with the evidence.

And no, if you prove the current theory of the solar system is wrong, that doesn't make yours correct. You need independent evidence for your hypothesis.

Konversekid - 2010-11-01

So he is also denying our entire understanding of gravity.

Can't not be trolling.
