Sometimes, as much as i enjoyed this movie, i can't help to blame it for creating the space marine cliche that now we see in every single video game and sci fi movie ever since.
I'm pretty neutral on that cliche. If you were to add up all of the video games or movies that wouldn't exist without aliens, you get 0.
e.g. X-com(100) + Doom the Movie(-100) = 0.
I love how this ship is gigantic, but has no support crew beyond the people sent in on the front lines. In space, no one can hear you bitch about low recruiter quotas being compensated for with overpriced hardware.
