One day he yelled at us because he smelled some cologne. Then he walked around the class sniffing everyone to find out who was wearing it. Then he left.

Judging the way that everyone looked over at the yawner I am assuming this was a comically over-loud yawn intended to express disgust with the professor. That makes the "outburst" a little more reasonable.

Everyone should have walked out. What a fucking baby.

I'm sure that is the most valuable class he's ever taught. Students were taught by example that when authority tries to get people to turn on each other, simply refusing leaves it impotent. And that being in the seat of power gives someone no more reason, maturity or actual control over you than anyone else.

According to youtube comments, the students are planning a "yawn in" for tomorrow. I really hope someone records it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this guy also strikes me as the type to make attendance to his class mandatory and enforce the rule with pop quizzes, sign in sheets, and other middle school like methods.

I also second the feeling that this outburst just destroyed any authority the professor had and is an open invitation to spectacular trolling the rest of the semester (read: I look forward to future installments of The Professor who Yells vs. Overly Loud Yawner)
