I can't see this in any other terms other than being a hippy is like LARPing, but to the extreme. The aggressors in the conflict are those that LARP on occasion and because of this it becomes important that it is done right, and rules are enforced. Where these dirty hippies, one's that are essentially drifters, are always doing this. They end up not caring about rules and because of this they are terrible people, who others could be motivated to punish. It's like playing a game with someone who thinks they know it so well that they can't just play it, they don't find it fun anymore. So they throw out the rules and just fuck around, while others who want to play legitimately become pissed off.

It's like that, but with life.

Indeed. Can anyone better sum up what this is about? Some kids who for some reason go by the name Death Camp Kids made some noise during a prayer, and, contrary to the spirit of the hippy gathering, a fat hippy dropkicked one of them? That's the best I can piece it together.

Basically, by my understanding, old hippies see the world as their lawn. Kids wouldn't get off their lawn. Homer/Bart choke response ensues.
