The Mothership - 2010-12-13

What a stupid, stupid device. I totally want one.

TeenerTot - 2010-12-13

Seconded.

astropod five - 2010-12-13

I know several people who would love this, assuming it's not a crappy thing that breaks in a month.

Johnny Madhouse - 2010-12-13

I look forward to the illogical extension of this trend to include truck sized cell phones.

Smellvin - 2010-12-13

Next up: a full-sized keyboard and monitor that you can attach to your smartphone/netbook.

Xiphias - 2010-12-15

they have those (for laptops)

Squeamish - 2010-12-13

Looks like someone's getting creative with a bundle of old russian phone handsets they bought for 2 rubles a box.

duck&cover - 2010-12-13

While you're at it, why not a generator-with-a-hand-crank attachment.

Mother_Puncher - 2010-12-13

Leading the battle of the "Most Asinine Product" war?

There really needs to be a Horribly Asinine Product tag if there is not something similar already.

Tom Collins - 2010-12-13

Not even Bluetooth

seriouslyuguys - 2010-12-13

Thinkgeek has had a bluetooth version for years, it's even on sale for right now http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/8928/

deadpan - 2010-12-13

Throw in a rotary dial attachment and we have a deal.

Steve Airport - 2010-12-13

That's certainly one nightmarish shape-shifting Santa Claus at 0:51-1:36

Cube - 2010-12-13

Does it come back when you throw it away?

Mother_Puncher - 2010-12-13

I'm sure that's the marketing bedrock this product was built on.

"No matter how hard you try, you will never see the end of those enormous recievers"

fluffy - 2010-12-13

Damnit. I thought of this years ago. (I know, lots of people did.)

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2010-12-13

There are instructions all over the net for turning an old phone receiver into a cell headset. Hell, you can even convert entire vintage phones to accommodate a SIM card and batteries and just carry a desk phone around with you.

This company just decided to cut out the ability to use a soldering iron and sell them directly to hipsters.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-12-13

Was not expecting to hear Jon Brion doing a jingle.

Adramelech - 2010-12-13

I've had a set-up like this for years. It's awesome.

This thing, however, is probably a cheap piece of crap.

Toenails - 2010-12-13

I don't know about you guys. But, I am pretty sick and tired of not being able to hold onto my cell phone and talk at the same time. :(

Old_Zircon - 2010-12-13

Oh hey, it's that thing people used to make themselves back in like 2003.

I bet it doesn't even let you start and end calls from the handset.

memedumpster - 2010-12-14

This must be a marketing experiment. Some evil corporate mad scientists decided to stain a certain population with large, gaudy, easily tracked markers. Somewhere, evil minds are moving against the douchebags of the world.
