I always enjoy how the world these small mammals inhabit is so much of fear and worry that they can never seem to stop themselves from taking small, innocuous dumps almost all of the time.
Humans live about 75 years (in good health and living conditions)
Humans poop about 1 time a day.
365 days/year * 75 years = 27375 poops per life
Hamsters live between 2 and 3 years on average. And, based on Google research, hamsters poop 4 times a day.
365 days/year * 4 poops = 1460 poops/year.
2.5 years * 1460 poops/year = 3650 poops/life
What's the average poop length and circumference for each species? Are we going by volume or weight? What is the poop to body weight ratio for the average daily excremental output? Until these questions are answered, I will not take this debate seriously.
