Why would a monster that big need teeth? What possible function could those teeth serve?

I actually kinda like that creature design. Reminds me of a cross between a sarlacc, the Tremors worm, a jabberwock and the creature depected in Richard Clifton-Dey's 'Behemoth's World'. You could do worse for inspiration.
