Fields, currents, potentials, charges -- why do scientists make up so many different names for the same thing? Also, 20Hz-1000Hz is PLENTY of range, there's hardly anything going on in higher frequencies. And when the readout goes to zero, it doesn't have to mean that there is a net current flowing through me (or voltage, which is the same thing.)
