Now I'm kinda disappointed no one tried the whole jumping of a barn trick this time around.

I hate how the English make fun the U.S.A. for having so many religious nuts, despite the fact they put them here.

Hundreds of years ago.
Then we surpassed them.

This clip specifically discusses how early colonial American were more moderate (low church attendance, deist) and then became evangelical later. On our own.

So you're saying religious lunacy is genetic, Cena?

And that's your favorite political party's base you're referring to as 'religious nuts,' you know.

baleen - 2011-05-23

Yeah, who's side are you on, Cena.

Cena_mark - 2011-05-23

The founding fathers were a moderate exception. I'm talking about the original colonials the Brits dumped here. They're pretty much the reason why I can't buy beer on sunday in GA.
Religious lunacy isn't genetic, just tradition. And I'm aware that they are the base of my favorite party, but in this economy Democrats must be kept in check.
Baleen, I'm on your side when it comes to social issues, I'm on the republican's side when it comes to fiscal policy and gun control.

They didn't dump anyone here, the colonies were started by religious nuts who left England because it wasn't grimly Protestant enough for them. I'm sure not a day goes by they don't wish they'd killed all the Puritans, but their Boss Fight against Cromwell put them behind schedule.

England dumped their rejects in Australia, and Australia turned out pretty cool.
