I never knew the Klan was so reasonable.

notascientist - 2011-05-26

God, what bullshit - apparently the founder talked to the Klan ONCE and wasn't even for abortion. God, I hate this natalist shit.

phalsebob - 2011-05-26

Yes. After hours of hard research and obscure academic research I was able to fine this on wikipedia.

"In 1926 Sanger gave a lecture on birth control to the women's auxiliary of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, New Jersey.[13] She described it as "one of the weirdest experiences I had in lecturing," and added that she had to use only "the most elementary terms, as though I were trying to make children understand."[13]"

If only regular common-sense salt of the earth folk could access that info somehow.

Smellvin - 2011-05-26

Even if they way they were presenting it were true, that wouldn't invalidate it. For example, Hitler was for educating children; Hilter is evil, ergo educating children is evil.

Smellvin - 2011-05-26

Even if what they were presenting were true*

IrishWhiskey - 2011-05-26

I can see this tactic catching on in the campaign season.

For example: Show a speech by Bill Clinton on the importance of reducing carbon emissions, but photoshop his head into a Nazi rally background and put a Hitler mustache on him. After all, chances are some of the people who voted for Clinton were Nazi supporters. Therefore, you either want to deregulate coal mining, or support Genocide.

twinkieafternoon - 2011-05-26

If by "Klanned Parenthood," you mean aborting Klansmen, then I'm all for that.

Robin Kestrel - 2011-05-26

They could have also drowned out what SJ was saying with fart noises.

As it is, they re-hosted the entire PSA soundtrack unmolested. That's some good satire, I guess?

Senator_Unger - 2011-05-26

Yes, because we're all aware of the great concern for African-Americans and their well-being expressed by Republicans. Honestly, how dishonest is their argument? "We're all for black babies. As long as they stay in the womb. And don't move next door to me. Property values and all that, don't you know."

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-05-27

Yeah, this.

Rudy - 2011-05-27

"YOU CAN'T USE MY TAX DOLLARS TO FEED ALL YOUR DAMN KIDS!"

"OK, I'll get an abortion."

"YOU CAN'T USE MY TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR MURDERIN BABIES!"

Mother_Puncher - 2011-05-26

That Molotov guy uses the arbitrary reasoning "right/wrong side of history". Both ideologies seem very regressive. I wish people who were against Planned Parenthood would be passionate about something else. You know sturgeons are on the brink of extinction due to pollution and other forms of harm caused by humans but these assholes don't go out to save them. And sturgeons kick ass.

catpenis27 - 2011-05-26

I've always had a thing for Johannsen. But god DAMN if she isn't a fine lady in that robe! Also, five stars for misinformation, bigotry, hatred and stupidity.

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-05-27

Thank god for the disclaimer at the end. It was so realistic I thought she was!
