Who the hell is Princess Sally? Was she from one the games?

There was a Sonic Saturday morning cartoon and comic where Sonic and friends were revolutionary fighters against the tyranny of Robotnik. I think she was the rightful heir to the throne or something and there was a bunny girl with a robot arm. I vaguely remember this because I saw the artist of the comic book at a local convention once years ago. He looked angry and miserable because no one was stopping by his booth and I felt sorry for him so I bought a book ffrom him to signh. I doubt i have it anymore and I can't remember his name for anyting.

I asked a pal who has asperger's and a Sonic comic collection for advice on this one. The artists varied, but commonly used ones in the early issues were Scott Shaw and Dave Manak. Later they added Patric "Spaz" Spaziante and Ken Penders. Maybe it was one of those guys.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, I never saw that show, but my neighbour used to watch it (I had an NES, he had a Genesis, I watch the SMB Super Show, he watched Sonic; we were a regular Odd Couple we were!)

So is there a "cartoon canon", separate from the game one? I notice later in this video he mentions Amy Rose, and implies that Amy fans and Sally fans don't like each other- I'm guessing Sally is the toon canon love interest, Rose is the game canon love interest? Unless Amy Rose is from the cartoon as well, because frankly, the only place I knew her from is Sonichu.

I liked the Sonic franchise better when it was just about a dude who ran real fast and picked up rings.

All I know about Princess Sally is that she wasn't on the Sonic cartoon that had Long John Baldry in it. Therefore she is worthless.

It was probably Penders who you saw at the booth. The man is known to be sullen and to have an attitude problem at best. Basically Ken thinks his story is the word of god when it comes to the Sonic fandom, and while it's not out in the open he does hold a grudge against the current writer, Ian Flynn, probably because the comic has been more financially and publicly successful under him than under Penders.

Also he's trying to sue Sega for their characters which he claims is his. The man is trying to fight a battle against a 600 ton robot with only a plastic spoon and the sanity of a berzerker.

The expanded Sonic universe is so cheesy and terrible that it would be kind of funny if guys like this didn't exist in such significant numbers.

Nineteen minutes. Of. This.

And over 2,000 videos of it too.

I'll try to sift through more of his crap to see what I can find.
