End of an era. Beginning of a new one.

Cena_mark - 2011-09-12

Rest in peace you wonderful internet lumberjack.

Knuckles - 2011-09-12

Hey Cena, you shouldn't post the same comments with your youtube account that you post here unless you want us to find out about your darkest secrets.

RIP Bob, you wonderful, wonderful Internet lumberjack. Never forget him!

Hmm, let me see what 4DPerformance's channel looks like...

http://www.youtube.com/user/4DPerformance

Oh.

Burnov - 2011-09-12

Goodnight sweet prince, my your foot bloatings trouble you no more.

This explains why we haven't gotten any new cwc videos as of late.

Burnov - 2011-09-12

*may, bah.

Cena_mark - 2011-09-13

Not my profile, just merely read the comment and it popped into my mind when I was posting it here.

TheOtherCapnS - 2011-09-13

Ah so you're just an unabashed plagiarist. Gotcha.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2011-09-12

Wow.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2011-09-12

Huh. So is Chris going to get even more assistance money from this or what?

RocketBlender - 2011-09-13

I remember in one of his videos, when we was fighting 'fake chris' over who should have the girlfriend (no, seriously), during one of his sobbing 'don't leave me' videos, he basically told her that his plan was to wait for his dad to die so that the house would be his. Just throwing that out there.

Riskbreaker - 2011-09-12

I bet Chris went to the funeral in his tomgirl persona.

Cena_mark - 2011-09-13

He better not have.

jangbones - 2011-09-12

He wasn't a very good father.

Nikon - 2011-09-12

I think many fathers would have run away from Barb and Chris. Bob didn't run away and stuck it out until he died. Instead of using his retirement to travel the world, he got stuck caring for a grotesque manchild and trying to keep him under control.

RocketBlender - 2011-09-13

In Bob's defense, I would have given up so much sooner. Can you imagine how many things he must have tried to stop Chris from doing? God only know how much shit Chris has done that he didn't voluntarily record and put on youtube. I think it's safe to say he gave up ages ago out of sheer necessity, it was the only way to stay sane.

I honestly feel bad for the man, this Tomgirl crap was the last thing he had to deal with before dying. He must have died very ashamed. Or of shame.

Quad9Damage - 2011-09-13

Goddamn, I can only imagine what the drama must've been like. The sheer frustration of not being able to control his son.

"Hey Chris, you just got a package from UPS. Sure is mighty bi..wait. Wait, wait, no. Hold on. What is this? Open that box. Open the box Chris, right now. Where are you going? No, you're not leaving! Get back here! Don't you take this to your roo-GODDAMNIT!"

Later that night, Chris recorded his 'Julie' video.

"Fixin' yourself a glass of orange juice, Chris?"

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-09-12

...of shame?

Nikon - 2011-09-12

As the old song dies, a new chorus begins.

Chris-chan now has no one to hold him back or encourage him to act like a human being. What happens next is anyone's guess.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2011-09-12

How about an appearance on Tosh.0?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tosh.0

It could cause the show to implode, but what a way to go, eh?

Sudan no1 - 2011-09-13

Tosh.0 should give Chris Chan a real "job" with a salary, and monitor his progress to make sure he improves.

If he did this he would be redeemed for making "Ow My Balls" into a real show.

Quad9Damage - 2011-09-13

This is actually very sad.

Those quotes at the beginning, which I assume came from a newspaper, show a different side of poor Bob. The Internet joked around and knew him as "the Lumberjack" and "CUTTIN IT DOWN!" guy, but the truth is he was an elderly man who spent his twilight years married to a hoarder, living in a shithole house, and caring for a son who never grew up and spent years making a fool of himself to millions on the internet. You've got to have titanium resolve to deal with crap like that.

Maybe with better parental guidance, Chris would have turned out differently. But perhaps the truth is that Bob was just overwhelmed and didn't know the right way to raise a sad sack like Chris. Not everyone would. It just sucks that Bob died in the middle of such a shitty situation, when he could have been much happier.

Oh, and his obituary (easy to find with Google) says to give Hambeast and Son money instead of sending flowers.

Riskbreaker - 2011-09-13

Now that Bob is gone Chris will spend even more money on the psn.

Nikon - 2011-09-13

Instead of giving Chris-chan more money to spend on video games, why not donate money to an asperger support foundation in Rob's name? This way, Chris-chan will get a letter and see how those asperger guys are stealing the limelight from true autistics like him.

EvilHomer - 2011-09-13

The worst part is, he used to be a fairly smart, successful guy, but somewhere along the line he ran face first into a tragic flaw (probably the birth of Chris). In a better time, he could have been remembered as a Shakespearean hero.

badideasinaction - 2011-09-13

I did a quick google of some of the quotes - they're pulled from chatlogs people had with him, probably while they were busy trying to troll Chris. The Chris-chan wiki has them visible in cache, since they've all been replaced with an RIP message instead.

poorwill - 2011-09-13

RIP

kwash - 2011-09-13

So, either Chris totally blows this off and focuses only on himself, like he does with most extreme situations,

OR

This is the first step in the Chris-Chan genesis of Sonic the Hedgehog-based serial killing.

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2011-09-13

Seriously. I hope the former. Because there are few more humiliating ways to go than by the hands of that guy.

kingarthur - 2011-09-13

I'm finding the whole idea of this too sad to watch. Rest In Pece, Bob. You had the patience of a saint.

kingarthur - 2011-09-13

*Peace. Holy shit, was that ever sadly ironic.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2011-09-13

From the very end of his obituary:

"Instead of flowers, you may make monetary donations to his widow, Barbara Chandler and son, Christian Chandler."

Seriously, I'm not fucking joking:

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailyprogress/obituary.aspx?n =robert-franklin-chandler&pid=153539600

That's fucking low.

themilkshark - 2011-09-13

Chris Chan needs play money or he'll cry.

RocketBlender - 2011-09-13

I really wonder who'se idea that was. Was it one last act of good will towards his family from Bob, or something Chris and his mom thought would be a hood idea.

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-09-13

Well, I can understand it on one level, but it still has all the hints of tugboat to me.

Hodge - 2011-09-13

For some reason this video depresses me, its like the people of the internet did more of a tribute for this mans life then his own family.

themilkshark - 2011-09-13

They did. Chris is making his dad out of pixel blocks, not much of a tribute.

RocketBlender - 2011-09-13

I went to the CWCki to catch up on all this. Chris's trolls took the whole site down with just an RIP message. They actually put mocking Chris on hold for that message.

That said, between that and the donations he's receiving, this is probably the best week of his life in his mind.

Riskbreaker - 2011-09-13

Yet one more reason why this is the most bizarre trolling saga in the history of the internet.

themilkshark - 2011-09-13

I wonder if anyone still thinks Chris Chan is an elaborate performance artist who is actually the 2nd coming of Andy Kaufman. Man, some of you are out of touch with reality.
