I had a friend who's dad was a NASA engineer, and had tons of CB and HAM stuff. I grew up outside of DC, and there was no shortage of interesting things to be heard on the CB. I have a crisp memory of asking pilots to make hamburgers for me, and them telling me I was a piece of shit motherfucker who's going to get spanked.

My dad had a CB radio in his 4x4, I have some very fond memories of harassing truckers.

Some of them took it in good humor, and some of them made for those moments as a kid where you dropped the mic and wondered if the guy was going to show up at your house and kill your parents.

I'd play astronaut with my grandpa's CB and get cussed at by truckers, that's where I learned the word "bastard". I can't imagine how much they must have hated the CB craze.
