Thats more the kind of exploded head I want to see here.
Five uncomfortable look at my generation stars and I love this album, but yeeesh, we were some fucking hipsters.
"We"? Some members of our generation were too busy listening to various forms of electronica to pay attention to crap like Beck & Sonic Youth. But yeah, there was a segment of our generation that was pretty lame. Then again, I challenge you to show me a generation that didn't have a lame segment.

I'm not arguing against that, no sir. Oh man, you made me long for the days when hardcore meant techno.

Hardcore never meanth "techno". All computer music is a bunch of bleeps and bloops.

Electronic music predates Garage Band, but I understand... you're on the outside, you're looking in, you can see through us, see our true colors...

I thought hardcore was stripped down thrash metal played by guys with shaved heads in the 1980s.

Hardcore was a variation of punk from the early 80s (Minor Threat anyone?). I'm pretty sure the techno flavor came post punk (pun intended).

Hardcore predates thrash metal but heavily influenced the style. Hardcore in the electronica meaning is a style of electronica that is fast, typically aggressive and has a lot of sub genres.

In modern times, hardcore means shitty metalcore or dubstep.

Thanks, you guys, this is exactly what I needed after the Bahrain video. You're all hardcore to me.

You're all senior citizens, yelling at each other at Bingo Night.

everyone in this thread is so cool

Ha ha ha, we're not going to leave you with a world worth having.

I gave Brian Eno his first keyboard. Im the one who told him airports need better music. Youre all just young and wreckless.

Sorry but i was too busy listening to traffic noise, THOSE WERE THE DAAAAAAYS!

I once got rimmed in the room where he wrote "Soy Empededor".
The Townleybomb
Good, but their interviews were better before they sold out.
Extremely aspergery behavior.
Jet Bin Fever
I vividly remember this interview. This is up there with the one where David Byrne interviewed himself and other classics.
Wonko the Sane
Come for the forced post modernism, stay for the awkward high-five
"Anti-nostalgia" should be a tag.
