Welp, now I want to go to Oregon.
No!! Stay away!! That video is all uh... special effects! Oregon is a terrible place! It's got... droughts! And... meteors! And sting rays! STING RAYS WITH A.I.D.S.!!
You should go to er... Detroit! Yeah. Detroit has low housing prices and interesting old ruins to explore and uh... Robocop and Ted Nugent. You'll love it there!
Needs, "No one died of dysentery during the making of this film" in the credits.
With the exception of the top of Mt. Hood I've been to all the places in this video, although I'm not sure where the cave or dry lake is.
The dry lake is probably the one in Malheur County (I forget the name). I noticed a few desert Owyhees shots in there. They blew it by not having more of the Wallowas, though.
Now see I was thinking Harney County and instead of Owyhee it would be Smith Rock near Bend, Oregon.
When I was a kid I'd look at the map of Oregon and see the south east corner and wonder, "What's down there?" I spent several days driving there only to discover the reason there's nothing on the map is because there's nothing out there. Really, really, nothing. It's a little scary because there are no towns, no gas stations, no other cars on the road... You think to yourself, "If something happened to my car, 20 years from now someone will be sweeping my bleached bones into a paper bag and wondering who I was."
Could be Harney, SE Oregon looks the same for the most part.
And yeah, if you lose your shit out there, you're in a world of hurt.
Some of this is breathtaking, but I'm docking a star for all the shots of tents, people, and other bullshit that didn't need to be there. How arrogant are you that you just can't take a time lapse of the sky without your fucking tent being advertised in it?
fuck a backpacker with a rhino's dick. we get it you like stars and mountains and clouds and being alone with nature. those skyrim assholes are making videos just like this
