They've been trying to make this thing for six years. And they've DONE IT. The world seems a better place.

Man, no one even knew who Sarah Palin was back then. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed because the teaser trailer they released back then looked a lot better.

StanleyPain - 2012-02-09
Yeah, I mean....way back when the first teasers came out it looked like they were going to make some pulp-fictiony kind of thing in the vein of an old serial or comic adventure (Captain America/Dan Dare style).

Rovin - 2012-02-09
Yeah, I have a friend from Finland, and the way she talks about it, they seem to have this cultural obsessive fear of Sarah Palin.

If it's at all serious, it'll suck. If it's too goofy, it'll suck. But if they get it just right...

'Iron Sky' and 'laibach' tags please!

Here's hoping it does well, at least well enough to break even on my investment

If I were a millionaire, it would seem foolish to spend 12 million dollars making this.

However, if I were a billionaire, this type of novelty investment would be the penultimate act of frivolous eccentricity before drinking a brandy snifter of molten gold.

Not to worry, we can escape through the holes in the poles to the center of the inner earth!

This looks awful.

Maybe the scene where they have to explain to President Palin what actual Nazis are is in the full-length film.

My wish is the top government officials in a bunker or war room viewing an old top secret "If you are watching this, then America is under attack by Moon Nazis" film made by a previous president for just such an occasion. Reagan would be the obvious choice, but anyone post-WW2 would work, the older the funnier.

I'd go with Nixon, he's automatically funny and you could pile on Cold War jokes, all "and don't let those red bastards try anything funny, killing krauts is the one thing Soviets are good for so keep'em busy".

It has Udo Kier hamming it up. I'll see it.

Alternate history? The Nazis reveal themselves in 2018. Show me proof they aren't stowed away up there right now.

I am really rooting for a romance between crazy Nazi blonde antagonist and hot black military American protagonist.

This looks like best movie in five years, which I know isn't hard to do, but I'm glad someone did.

So happy to live in a generation that allows films like this to go forward.
RockBolt - 2012-02-09
Not just that, but helps fund the damn thing too

Likely this is a dupe, so posting right here.
