I used to live with this guy who would come home from work at about 7AM, put on TPB and pass out, which was about the time I was waking up for work. I think during that time I probably saw all of the episodes but they were all out of order. I don't really know if it mattered.
It both does and doesn't It's really character driven and there are long, multi-season interlocking plot arcs but I think it would be jsut as funny if you had no idea what was going on. It's right up there with SCTV, The Young Ones, MST3k and Twin Peaks as the best TV comedies ever.
"make my words" is up there with "i toda so.. i fuckin toda so"
I think my favorite is still "survival of the fitness."
They are coming to Austin with their new live show gonna be there.
I'm so glad the Americans of the internet found these guys after the show basically ended so that they started making new episodes again. I was worried the newest season would be of poorer quality, but it was great. They even managed to add a new character who not only didn't suck, but was quite funny.
Also one time I met Sarah at the farmers market in Hubbards NS. She bought the same apple cider as me. That was one of the most interesting things that has ever happened to me.
When the new character showed up, I thought TPB may have jumped the shark, but no, they reigned it in and made them fit perfectly.

So is TPB going to be the Kids in the Hall of my generation? If so I should probably watch me some TPB.
I still haven't seen any of the movies, I think all of the are on Netflix streaming now.
Used to live in a trailer park. This show is almost a documentary.
Incidentally, if anyone ever wants a mental image of me to go with my posts, Terry Riley's head on Bubbles' body and wardrobe isn't too far off.
