Things have gotten better, though. When I lived in AK, only trains could go through the tunnel. I hear opening it up to cars reduced the isolation factor a lot.
I know that I've seen this before.. I thought it was on here but maybe I was actually watching PBS. Anyway super awesome. For whatever reason we didn't get any underground pathways in Wisconsin like Minnesota and Canada had that connect universities and such. I always thought it'd be incredibly cozy, like an airport you never had to leave
