I initially really liked this, but then I realized that it completely conflates gender theory with mainstream feminist. Judith Butler doesn't use terms like "cishet white male" in Gender Trouble. Gender Trouble is an attempt to deconstruct/explain the concept of gender in a non-circular way. The title is a hint about the outcome.
I have Gender Trouble on my shelf. I read a few chapters maybe 7 years ago and I gave up. Butler takes the stance that ordinary language is so caught-up in gender that you NEED to use obtuse neologisms to properly talk about it.
I still appreciate that the video made me think about stuff.
