Cena_mark - 2019-05-13 I don't get how most Christians associate Esphesians 4:29 with profanity. "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
I think it's more useful to interpret it as "say nice things." You can say kind things while using profanity like, "I fucking love you." Instead Christians get hung up on profanity, which never made sense to me, because such utterances from a language that didn't even exist in Biblical times.
