I remember P.A.S.S.I.O.N. by these guys, back when disco was going so electronic. Anyone remember Lime, and of course Patrick Cowley, Carol Jaiani (?) and the song, Feels Like I'm In Love. I would listen to a broadcast from a gay nightclub that played all this stuff.

I was in grade school when this stuff came out so I missed it. Lime is excellent. Sylvester is great of course, picking up some Sylvester 12" singles back in 2008 or 9 is probably what first got me listening to this stuff more seriously.

I don't know if Patrick Hernandez is canonically hi-nrg.

Probably play Flirts - Helpless every time I do an italo vinyl set. It's just that good.

1394, I listened to Helpless, totally Italo as I know it!

I haven't considered Born To Be Alive to be Italo, but then I haven't thought about it, and if Patrick did any other songs later.

There's probably a lot of crossover for what people consider the Italo sound, and my knowledge comes mostly from listening over the years. I'll have to read the Wiki.

Kano is another Italo band that was big here, with I'm Ready, big on our dance radio station here.
