When GE was actually a real and respected company. The GE Superadio I and II were excellent performers, and I had the portable cassette with manual tape door, just lift it. I got the AM/FM cassette, using it for several years daily, then a went to a Panasonic boombox that I use daily, even to this day.

GE was good for the budget minded student back then, a kid with Christmas money could get their electronics and it would perform.
