A hideous traumatizing film that absolutely everyone I know hated, and there's some stories from the set that makes me think it was the same for the crew

HarrietTubmanPI - 2024-03-03 I have it on good authority that the set designers said it was the best film they ever worked on. They were given an almost unlimited budget and they hauled in junk from all over the country to build the set pieces. Whenever they even got close to going over budget, Ackroyd bascially gave them Carte Blanche to spend however much they wanted on it.
They said it was the one film where they literally got to do whatever the hell they wanted and nobody told them no.
