Please Fashion, I'm begging you: BRING RECTANGULAR SOLIDS BACK AS THE #1 POPULAR HAIRSTYLE.

Also, bring back videos where women get to where clothes that actually look comfortable.

"wear clothes" -- DURRR.

I second your plea for a "High-Top-Fade" resurgence.

Damn my unkinky mane!

Stopheles - 2007-08-02

I wish there was a video for the remix of this song, but even this version is amazing amazing amazing. There's no way I can give anything off of De La's first three (maybe even four) albums anything less than five stars.

Seeing them in 1991 (their first NYC headline) was one of the formative experiences in my life. Seriously.

KnowFuture - 2007-08-02

I thought this *was* the remix and the version on "3 Feet High & Rising" was the original...huh...

boba. - 2007-08-03

this is the remix, the original is on the LP and also on the b-side of the 12" as "LP version". The original version doesn't have the female MCs on it. The 12" version is 7:17

Stopheles - 2007-08-03

Ah, I guess that's why I was confused. And yeah, I went back and listened to the version on the album and noticed the lack of Monie and Latifah...

They played this at the 91 show, with verses from Monie, the Jungle Brothers, and Latifah (I think Dres from Black Sheep filled in for Q-Tip and Phife)...they played "A Roller Skating Jam Named Saturdays"...I was in heaven.

Stopheles - 2007-08-02

Maybe I'm wrong -- I have a much longer version on vinyl somewhere.

Big Muddy - 2008-05-23

I can't believe this is where hiphop peaked. Especially for the ladies rappin. Eve or Missy Eliot ani't goddamn rappers!
