This is so horrible. In my junior year in high school my dipshit english teacher showed this to us (though I don't remember why). Initially I was excited until I found out it was this version. We later had to write a report on what we thought of the movie and I said something like "I'm sure it would have been better with the original score."
My paper came back with a message in good ol' teachers red pen saying "I DON'T THINK THE CLASS WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED OLD ORGAN MUSIC!!!"
I saw this back in the day. I generally didn't mind the synth music but DID mind the singing.
That said, the Alloy Orchestra's soundtrack for this film kicks Moroder's to the curb and stomps it repeatedly. Notably, when I saw them performing it live, they played it against the Moroder print because cheesy soundtrack aside, the Moroder version does attempt to restore some lost footage (by creative editing of stills) and put in some plot points cut out from older prints.
