Not surprised he didn't hear the warning. That was one hell of a barn-burner.
I'm not only incredulous that the gross inequities and failings of our educational system aren't given priority over affirmative action, I'm appalled its not given priority over absolutely every other issue in our country.

... me too, but I suspect for an entirely different reason.
I've always considered Tim Wise man to be little better than a fucking street preacher. Say it loud enough, maybe someone'll listen.
The most odious thing about this fuck and his twisted view of the world is his false sense of certainty. You can't often find this kind of certainty outside of organized religion.
He knows you intimately and while you may claim that he's putting words in your mouth or trafficing in broad generalizations of the type he rallies against... you can't hide your INNER whiteness from him. And he's made a lucrative career from his psychic powers.
Fuck you, AND your B.A. in political science.
And yes. You got your one minute warning, you disingenuous fuck. I find that to be indicative of MOST of his work. Stampede over common sense, guidelines, and facts by the opposition, while ignoring even the most valid counter argument, with the expectation that no one will call him on his bullshit.
|
Cleaner82 - 2009-04-27 I have no idea who Tim Wise is -- and honestly I couldn't care less. He's right on the money here.
Yeah, but then again he totally did get a one minute warning. Fuck that guy.

I just finished reading his book "White Like Me" a few weeks ago and all I can say is GOD DAMN!

This guy is kind of upset. His points are great and well-researched, but he's far too harsh toward his opponents and too quick to accuse them of being racist scumbags.
But I don't care because 6:05, and then again the Dr. King quote. Five for that.

The solution is economic class-based affirmative action, not race-based affirmative action.

I thought the only issue of the day was gay marriage. Why is he not talking about gay marriage? How did this happen?

The Faghorn - 2009-04-27 Probably because this was two years ago, jughead.

|
|
Cleaner82 - 2009-04-27 Will you? Why yes it appears you did.
|
IrishWhiskey - 2009-04-27 We're talking about antique vitrines and The Village People. Its just in a queer code, so it sounds to the untrained ear like pertinent social justice issues.
