why do people take this show seriously? It doesn't know if it wants to be 60s tv batman or 90s movies batman.

Also anachronisms which transcended the lifespan(s) of any character on the show were a nice touch

I would bet Mary Dahl's sweet and innocent demeanor is intended to be a jarring contrast against her bitter and homicidal ways, as opposed to 60s camp. This strategy works a lot better with the Joker.

It's hardly Shakespeare, but then again, if Hamlet's dad had the Batmobile he never would have died of ear poison. (Batman keeps anti-toxin in the visor.)

I liked this one. Too bad like many other villains her future appearances made her less of a complex character and more a two dimensional cutout.

I think a lot of shows do this, so its not that scathing a critique.
