I read your companion as referring to Boomer the Dog, thus this trailer was -alot- less interesting than I expected it to be.

Losing a furry that dresses up as a dog and sniffs fire hydrants in public, and trying to enlist the help of strangers to find him would make SUCH a better movie than this.

Hallmark Channel viewers don't like surprises.

They like dogs, horses, and old people falling in love. Oh, and punk kids getting their comeuppance after long lectures from other old people (who may or may not be falling in love, too).

The plot is basically the ultimate Boomer fantasy: Something mildly unfortunate happens to a well-off middle-aged white couple and the entire fucking world stops to pay attention to them.
