That's where I saw the leprechaun. He told me to burn things.

MrBuddy - 2012-07-04

I wonder if this is how a Big Daddy see Rapture.

deadpan - 2012-06-27

Best class gets best video.

misterbuns - 2012-06-27

Which part of playing a Pyro is more challenging, holding down the forward button or holding down the left mouse button? Pressing them independently is difficult, but the best Pyro players actually push both of them _at the same time_. I hear that is the trick.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

The most difficult part of being a pyro is listening to inferior players complain about it.

As they burn.

SolRo - 2012-06-27

Burn some more!

Hodge - 2012-06-27

You're only half right, Pyro is both the worst and best class in the game. "Left mouse button Pyro" is worst class in the game yet the much more intelligent and skilled "right mouse button Pyro" is the best class in the game.

Personally, I preferred meet the spy and medic over this.

I don't have any problem with pyros. But it is interesting that my time played / kills for the pyro is far far far bigger than any other class in the game. As far as I can tell the class just exists so children and retards can still have fun with tf2.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

That's right, let those hurt feelings sizzle. Nothing burns nicer than a hurt butt.

zerobackup - 2012-06-28

There is a fair amount of skill to playing Pyro, it is a medium/short range class. Medium armor. Fighting a Soldier or Heavy with any amount of skill at medium range is very hard for a Pyro.
Pyros are also at the mercy of Snipers due to their limited range.
Pyros also have a hard time clearing well placed Sentry guns (another range issue).
Pyros generally can dominate classes like Medic, Demoman and Scout due to their lighter armor. These classes burn quickly and die fast, they get really mad :)
Spy v Pyro is a wild card. 1 on 1, Spys don't stand a chance, but a Spy's bread & butter is the backstab, and that can work on any class.

I know, overpowered right?

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-28

A good pyro can circle around heavies and sentries and come out alive.

At long-range, a pyro can deal with a sniper using a flare gun. It's not usually enough to kill them, but it does ruin their aim and make them run for cover.

Finally, like Hodge said, you can do some amazing things with a compressed air blast.

misterbuns - 2012-06-28

You guys are thinking about this way too much. Do what my eight year old niece does. Hold down the left button and run around.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-27

Waiting makes some things a lot better.

dek863 - 2012-06-27

Still don't know if he/she is a lady, but who cares?

It made me awkwardly laugh out loud in in a cafe. 5 stars.

big pincers - 2012-06-27

Sphinx - 2012-06-27

Serious Sam called it "Hippie Mode." Point to Sam.

But this is still great.

Redford - 2012-06-27

Perhaps I'm the only one, but I think that Valve put too much effort into these last two videos. For all the others, it was some guy who's job it is to perform a random task on a group of mercenaries talking about his everyday life. The character of the Pyro, as communicated by TF2, doesn't make him feel like he's insane, or he's a psycho, or anything like that. He's that asshole with the flamethrower who's really good at spy checking.

If it were me, it would be like all the others, except you can't understand what he's talking about and half of the shots are of him burning a spy. Because that's what he does in game. That's his character.

Regardless, this is still awesome. It's just not exactly what I expected.

BHWW - 2012-06-27

Meet the Spychecker.

"Oh thank you for that, you dickhead."

Shoebox Joe - 2012-06-27

Lost it at the axe.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-06-27

I think a lot of this video was Valve showing off, and I have absolutely no problem with that.

Raising the bar

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-06-27

Chet, you did it again!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-06-27

Well done, though I still think "Meet the Sniper" is the funniest. Then again, I like a lot of his lines.

memedumpster - 2012-06-28

Inflatable animals that you have sex with usually cost more, chill out.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-06-27

I wish I could still play online. I used to be able to. Then one day, it started taking upwards of five minutes for me to get into a new map. Same goes with L4D and L4D2.

Pyro is my favorite class. I'm so happy to see it get the funniest video.

("Meet the Spy" is still my favorite, though)

big pincers - 2012-06-29

sadly my little netbook can't run TF2

gmol - 2012-06-27

A lot of people are saying this was the best one.

Certainly was detailed...can't say I hated it...

But I thought Heavy, Spy, Sniper, Medic were all way better...maybe I'll come around one day.

TheSupafly - 2012-06-28

I was wondering how they were gonna pull this one off, and I gotta say, they are the pixar of the game promo world.

Xenagama Warrior Princess - 2012-06-28

Keeping the ambiguity alive with the line "He's not here, is she?"

I am going to miss these class videos.

LeChuck - 2012-06-28

You need to have your ears checked.

muffinbutt - 2012-06-30

It's in the CC as "He's not here, is she?" sooo....
