It's like something out of Monty Python.

Merzbau - 2012-10-15
Oh, Roger Moore. Truly you are the smuggest of fucks.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-10-15
Yaphet Kotto deserved a better death.

And what about that Paul McCartney theme song? Did it take him a whole minute to write that thing?

That was awful!

blue vein steel - 2012-10-15
the best Bond

StanleyPain - 2012-10-16
I'm sorry but even Moonraker, which is pretty much the punching bag of the Bond series, is better than this movie.
|
FABIO - 2012-10-16 Have we forgotten about In Her Majesty's Secret Service? Thrill as Bond whimpers around an ice rink hiding from 2 dopes and a Linda Hunt clone before his mom comes and picks him up in a Hugo.

Clarky_cat - 2012-10-16 As cheesy as the Roger Moore films are, I still think Die Another Day is the worst Bond film. Roger Moore might have had a crocodile submarine and a gondola hovercraft but he never had an INVISIBLE CAR
|
StanleyPain - 2012-10-16 Personally, I think Die Another Day was a really great send-off for Brosnan and the older Bond style. I mean, I think everyone kind of knew that the classic Bond films could never last and they'd have to get some sort of "realistic" reboot where the usual Bond ridiculous would be toned way down in favor of a true espionage type approach, and Die Another Day was like "Well, since this is probably the last of the old school, let's go fucking nuts" and I loved it for that. It was just so ridiculous that it worked. I sort of wish there would be another Bond film like that, in that vein, but these new ones have pretty much established a whole new "realistic" universe which sometimes makes me a little disappointed we won't see Daniel Craig using holographic parachutes or some shit to invade an underwater base populated by cultist women who are armed with laser guns and snakes led by some megalomaniacal plutocrat that wants cats to rule the Earth or something....

Hooker - 2012-10-16
This was the first Roger Moore entry, too. This is how he started his run with the franchise.
Moore did the most Bond movies of anyone and the only good one was The Spy Who Loved Me. Timothy Dalton had more good scenes as Bond than Moore did.
So, yes. The best Bond.
|
|
Old_Zircon - 2012-10-16 That was the first one I saw and I agree.
|
StanleyPain - 2012-10-16 Spy Who Loved Me was probably the best of the "out there" Bond movies, but Moore really never gets enough credit for For Your Eyes Only which was a really good, straight Bond film without all the usual over the top trappings of the series.
|
sosage - 2012-10-16 The movie with the first black Bond girl...and the script kills her off 20-30 minutes into the adventure.
|
Hooker - 2012-10-16 Diamonds are Forever had a black Bond girl.
|
Merzbau - 2012-10-16 A View to a Kill is complete ass and I still love it. Duran Duran, Christopher Walken, Grace Jones. Who fucking cares what else is in the movie? That's five stars RIGHT THERE.

...the hell?

I just realized I'm a huge fan of grotto movie sets.

chumbucket - 2012-10-16
Like most Bond films, when I saw this, I expected this guy to die...just not quite like that.

sosage - 2012-10-16
"Let off some steam Bennett."

I definitely remember watching, rewinding, and re-watching a VHS of this several times the first time I saw it.
