YOU ARE TEARING ME APART!
Voice acting aside, it's sad to look back at some of the early megaman games because it used to be a fantastic series.

:D this was the best Mega Man X.

voiceover recorded in moms basement in whisper tone after being told to keep it down?
They were willing to release the sequel with bosses named after Guns n' Roses:
So if they didn't record in a basement, I'm sure it was in one of those kiosks at the mall.

Tropes vs. Robots in Video Games.
He's the one who killed her, too. So dark and brooding!!
In this game's defense, Zero was introduced as THE DARK AND BROODING KILLER ROBOT so it's consistent with his character. BUUUUT this is still a pivotal moment in which he murders his own girlfriend and then explores his feelings about it.

Never mind the voice acting...she's a robot, right? Why does she have big tits? Why would she need tits in the first place? What purpose do robot tits serve?
missiles or machine guns, duh.
Right. And I almost forgot, Japan + Japanese art + video game. Let me guess, she's supposed to be like 12 too, right?
Can't the robots at least be 12? IS NOTHING SACRED?!
Dude, that technology wasn't around 18 years ago, so she has to be 12. One day they'll be able to miniaturize the heat sinks enough so we don't have to put them on her chest like that, but science takes time...
>she's a robot, right?
Not entirely. Iris even mentions that a Reploid's DNA is similar to a human's soul, calling it a DNA Soul. However, DNA was shown to integrate the actual body of a Reploid as well. This DNA can be manipulated for several purposes, such as Reploid resurrection (said to be illegal in Mega Man X6) and even cloning. By the time of Megaman Zero Reploids had become so similar to humans that they could almost 'pass' for them save for their mechanical ears.

Shaking the dead. I would like to see a montage of shaking the dead in popular media.
All I see is zombie themed Harlem Shake videos.

You're supposed to be fighting for everlasting peace, or have you strayed from your roots that much?

Despite the horrible acting, this was the last good Megaman X game.
I tend to agree.
Definitely. I may talk shit about these cut-scenes but I love them for how well they fit into X4. The multiple armors of X5 and X6 are cool but c'mon, capcom.
Megaman X6 didn't do so well? FUCK IT, next one is 3D. And we're adding a third protagonist... one that holds a pistol!! You see, that's way different from Megaman because... the gun is outside of the armor! Fucking sold. Print it.
The purpose of Zero is to contrast Megaman's major traits. Megaman is a "pacifist" and uses a long-range weapon. Zero is bellicose and uses a short-range weapon. It's simple but it works for Megaman. Adding a third character into that black-and-white dynamic is a cursory gesture. They got it right when they REPLACED Proto-man with Zero (who is really just Proto-man in a maverick disguise) rather than adding a new but totally similar character (like X7).
Capcom doesn't give a fuck about its best franchises. Resident Evil became Resident ACTION, Megaman's 2D legacy was ported to the gameboy and POWERSTONE has never been ported, period.
I have never played Darkstalkers, I'll have to check out a ROM or something. And they DID port Powerstone to the psp. But fuck handhelds, they don't count.
