No, Ulillillia, I am actually not wondering any of these things.

EvilHomer - 2013-06-17

Heretic.

Walk ten feet and hit a blank loading screen 12

misterbuns - 2013-06-17

the final fantasy franchise is like a gluten free line of crisps.

tasteless and not actually superior in anyway but somehow fashionable.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2013-06-17

I never had a console until my late 20's (A PS3) I played PC games instead, so I missed that whole ouvre.
On the PS3 I played ff7 (which had a great plot and world but really tedious fights and random encounters, also I felt comfortable with the grim-fandango-esque graphics :) ) and ffX (I think, it was X) which had lovely visuals but was unredeemable shit otherwise.
Anyway judging by these experiences I must agree ff are fairly mediocre games, however, even the really bad one had this 'neat' spreadsheet-esque quality that appealed to some accountant part of my brain.. Its weird, I noticed that in a lot of japanese games and console games (like Gran turismo for example.

Also auto-stars for ull :)

memedumpster - 2013-06-17

The last FF game I played was VII, my favorite parts were the motorcycle stage and Yuffie's side story. I was disappointed that the RTS side quest was so easy and I hated the drudgery in the volcano. I am not a very deep thinker.

misterbuns - 2013-06-17

mediocrity reigns.

Kid Fenris - 2013-06-17

The best thing about Final Fantasy is the way each game changes just enough to completely piss off at least half of the previous game's fans.

Nominal - 2013-06-17

So it's like the Sphere Grid, except you can't see where anything leads to or plan without a guide.

zerdzer - 2013-06-17

he's a chill dude

his videos are very informative and thorough

pretty good game too

except i don't think anybody really wants to powerlevel vaan to level 99 without going through any of the story.

Xenocide - 2013-06-17

If everyone is maxed out then then the game's challenge level effectively drops to nothing. So you spend 700 hours breaking all your characters, and are rewarded with an exponentially more boring game.

EvilHomer - 2013-06-17

"Exponentially". How exponentially, you ask? Well, I did some calculations. 2 to the power of 16 more boring, to be exact. That's a lot of numbers, heh.

lordyam - 2013-06-17

***** ghost stars for your comment

misterbuns - 2013-06-17

"audio blanket for your mind"

i am so glad someone else out there immerses themselves in this to wash away the residue of life.

Seems like you need a trip to Dairy Queen for a strawberry-flavored blizzard....

i wish he would have said 'the Dairy Queen' :(

Nikon - 2013-06-17

I think the job class and perk system from FF Tactics (the first one, on PSX) was better than this. Five stars for U-dawg, though.

gravelstudios - 2013-06-17

I played through this game. I enjoyed it, did a few side quests.

but I cannot comprehend how anybody could enjoy what he's doing. I've seen some of his other videos, so I know he IS enjoying himself, and I'm fine with that. I just don't understand it.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-06-17

I wish he used his incredibly interesting mind on something a lot more useful than this. I know it makes him happy, but there are undoubtedly projects he could work on that would aid humanity in some way.

Callamon - 2013-06-17

Yes he could chop wood or turn big rocks into small rocks. Do you think people like this are actually useful in any way? I've had to manage a few of these in my younger years working in video stores or fast food etc. you have to be constantly on their ass to get them to actually finish any job. So much so that it would be faster to just do it yourself.

EvilHomer - 2013-06-17

"I've had to manage a few of these"

Oh yeah, I remember you. Always telling me to clean the greasetrap. Well I got a dogeared notebook full of Greco-Roman architecture sketched in minute detail entirely from memory, so YOU clean the goddamn greasetrap.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-06-17

Do you want your .25/hr or not Homer?

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-06-17

Those notebooks are filled with scribbles. Your schizophrenic hallucinations don't count!

Riskbreaker - 2013-06-17

This video broke my brain.
