I saw it back in the day, was never sure if I had misremembered how weird it was until I saw that piece on it. Even as a kid I realized how weird it was, even by Sesame Street standards.

I had a vague recollection of being freaked out by this (I would have been 2 when it first aired, and living near NYC) but didn't remember what was freaky.
