Maker of video may have achieved the level of sophistication to realize bioshock and its ilk are basically crap, but not much more. And that is not a very high level of sophistication.

"Fag" as a suffix is fairly old; it predates (or at least contemporaizes with) FAIL and LOLZ, if I remember my internet history correctly.

I'd also like to point out that, contrary to outside misconception, the fag-suffix does not carry any inherently pejorative meaning in itself; speaking in a vernacular sense, it is simply a word that means "enthusiast for". There is an element of self-depreciating humor there, but it's typically applied endearingly, by the speaker, to himself and his group, or to another group in such a way as to imply an ironic appreciation for, or camaraderie with, with -fag in question. As examples, I offer the terms oldfag, newfag, ponyfag, PoEfag, goonfag. Now this is not always the case (consider the term, furfag) but I'd argue that even when a fag-suffix is presented in such a way as to be unambiguously pejorative, it is still less demeaning and confrontational than other options (e.g. dogfucking sub-human furry cunts).

Definitely not a new thing, but also definitely uncalled-for.

As for Mr. Evil Homer, the video definitely meant to compare bioshock players to homosexuals unfavorably, what with the pictures of body-builders followed by calling them fags. Seems pretty open and shut to me.

It's really no different than ending the video with pictures of fried chicken, then calling video game fans niggers.

Also-- why are we putting this much thought into this? The video's dumb and not funny anyway. The biggotry at the end is just the icing on the cake.

I was responding to SolRo's statement about the term "biofags" and the adding of fag to the end of words. Whether the creator of this video is homophobic, or believes that biofags are actually fags, is beyond the scope of my analysis.

That was my favorite part of all the day one user reviews, comments, etc. That, and all the rage at the opening baptism scene.

With the first one? The story and setting, I guess, though it only works the first time through. Yeah, there's a twist in the middle, but your vaunted choices make no difference apart from a "good" ending, a "bad" ending, and a "the same as the bad ending but read in a sad voice" ending.

Both games were short on substance when you actually looked at what they claimed to present: Objectivsim! American exceptionalism! In the end, it just provided a reason to shoot dudes in a linear game. They were pretty looking, but you didn't need more than a few brain cells to "figure out" how to play.

For a mental challenge, sit down in front of one of the older RPGs like Fallout or Torment. Just trying to navigate how to play them in a way that doesn't have you ending up dead or unable to proceed is a herculean task most of the time.

Infinite has pretty amazing production values, but the game itself seems so chaotic. The setting and story would have worked as more intelligent game, maybe something more like Deus Ex, rather than just a straight up, linear first-person shooter which totally breaks all the mood and atmosphere by turning almost every section of the game (which is supposed to be an in inhabited city, mind you) into these rote encounters were you murder dozens of people constantly for little to no reason.

I was watching a "let's play" of Fallout 3, and they mentioned the fact that in the game you can get Abraham Lincoln's hat from one of the museums.

One host, a 40+ year-old guy, asked something along the lines of, "Is that a real thing? I mean, do we actually have Lincoln's hat? Can I go to a museum and they'll say, 'This is Lincoln's hat'?"

The response from another commentator, a college student, was, "Oh, I doubt it."

In case this doesn't seem stupid to anyone else out there, yes, the Smithsonian has Lincoln's stove-pipe hat. It occasionally goes on tour with other exhibits or can be viewed in Washington, DC.
