As a kid I recall sharing was defined by my patience with being continually hounded to borrow whatever form of entertainment I was playing with (handheld video game, comic book, action figure, etc) for just "2 secs". Inevitably, those "2 secs" ware more than an actual 2 seconds, a lot more. So sharing was more about how much guilt I would feel at a certain threshold of time far beyond 2 seconds wherein I was deprived of my own forms of entertainment.
Conclusion: sharing generally sucked.
I'm more a fan of giving away stuff I don't use, because if it's stuff I DO use and I share it too much, it usually gets broken or lost or stolen.
I gave away probably 20 things (books, music equipment) in the last month alone, but I'm struggling to remember a single thing I loaned out in 2016.
Also it seems like the more I give away the more people give me.

Incredible. I remembered the jingle immediately after reading the description, but could not for the life of me remember what it was about. Sorry UCC.

No, you can't see my kaleidoscope Billy. Sharing is for COMMIES! Better dead than red!
